Where the heck have I been? Why have I NEVER tried anything from this truck. Why didn’t I know that Grill ‘Em All won the first season of The Great Food Truck Race? I haven’t been Food Truckin’ it lately but Grill ‘Em All made an appearance at the Tropical Shave Ice/Rich’s Shrimp Shack brick and mortar one Wednesday night, and since it’s close to my house I couldn’t pass up the chance to try a few things.

I first tried their homemade tater tots with truffle oil and garlic aioli dipping sauce. These things were surprisingly HUGE and even more surprisingly GOOD. It’s not your ordinary frozen tater tot. It was smashed potatoes but still with little chunks breaded with seasoned panko bread crumbs. When you bite into one the cheese inside just oozes right out. It’s simply amazing by itself, but when dipped in the garlic aioli it's phenomenal.  I couldn’t stop eating them but I had to since I had some other things to try.

Munchos are my absolutely favorite chips in the whole world so there was no question I had to get the Blue Cheer burger. This burger had a bleu cheese spread, cranberry gastrique and munchos. The burger was so juicy, cooked to perfection. I like how the bun was toasted on the outside and that it was sweet, but I think the bun was a little too dry. Even with the blue cheese and gastrique, you can still taste a lot of bread, maybe too much.  I also wished it had more Munchos inside.

It wouldn’t be a visit to the Grill ‘Em All truck without ordering the Behemoth.  Grilled cheese buns, cheddar cheese, bacon, beer soaked onions, pickles and bbq sauce are what makes this burger a Behemoth.. YES, I said grilled cheese buns! The burger, the cheese, the onions, the bacon in between two grilled cheese sandwiches.. HOLY HECK. When I saw this burger I don’t know which was open wider, my eyes or my mouth. This thing was ginormous!!!! The name definitely fits the burger. My mouth seriously isn’t big enough to take a bite of the entire burger. I thought it was going to be too much with the grilled cheese sandwiches, but it wasn’t. The grilled cheese by itself was so good, so buttery and toasted. The beer soaked onions were really good too. The bacon was still really crispy.  The burger was cooked perfectly and everything just went so well together.  Everything about this burger was perfect if you're not looking at fat and calories
!

Overall $29 for the tater tots, 2 burgers, a bottled water and coke was definitely worth it. Go hungry because the portions are big!
